"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24 KJV
Sometimes, from what I have observed, people get all wrapped up in what they wear to church and to what church they go. It has to look this way, or the service has to go a certain way, but to me, I think these verses are saying, God is searching for folks who are sincere in their worship of him. It isn't how much your "go to meetin'" clothes cost, or how fancy your church is, but what's in your heart. I don't know about y'all, but I do most of my worshipping at home in my cleaning clothes with my hands deep in the dish water, covered with bread dough, or changing a diaper. I think this is part of what Jesus was trying to tell the woman at the well that day, that no longer did she have to remain in darkness and worship from afar. The messiah, Jesus has come! Salvation is at hand!
